For Prospective Students

International Master’s Degree Program in Health Care Administration

School of Health Care Administration was founded in 1997 to train skilled staff and leaders for medical organizations as well as to raise the standard of Taiwan's health care administrators and to promote academic research in the field.

The International Master's Degree Program in Health Care Administration was established in 2000, and provides working health care administrators a
chance to gain skills and broaden their global understanding. As health care systems expand rapidly in Taiwan, administrators with expertise in professional management are increasingly in demand.

Practical experience in local hospitals or international organizations is required of all students prior to graduation. The educational goal is to guide students to become independent, enthusiastic, articulate and internationally competent.

The International Master's Degree Program in Health Care Administration offers interdisciplinary courses in English provided by several TMU schools and graduate institutes, including the School of Health Care Administration, the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Informatics, the Graduate Institute of Injury Prevention and Control, and the Graduate Institute of Humanities in Medicine.

The core courses focus on health care administration, but the program also provides courses in the theory and practice of health insurance, operations research in health care organization, medical informatics, health information management, health care delivery systems, medical anthropology, international collaborative efforts on injury prevention and control, and writing scientific papers in English.
