The Taiwan Scholarship Program, established by the Ministry of Education (MOE), aims to encourage outstanding international students (excluding those from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau) to pursue degree studies in Taiwan. Through this scholarship, students can explore Taiwan’s academic environment and foster mutual understanding and friendship between Taiwan and the global community.
Scope of the MOE Scholarship:
I. Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees:
- The MOE covers up to NT$40,000 per semester for tuition and fees.
Any amount exceeding NT$40,000, or other costs such as insurance, thesis advising, housing, internet, or administrative fees, must be covered by the student.
II. Monthly stipend:
- NT$20,000 per month for master’s and Ph.D. students.
